MABEL HOGGARD PTSA 2013-2014 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
MOVIE NIGHTS: Families enjoyed a movie on the big screen and some delicious snacks and drinks. This was a great opportunity for families to get together outside of regular school hours.
READ-A-THON: The Read-a-thon fundraiser was wildly successful this year! Students collected pledges from friends and family promising to log lots of minutes reading. What a great activity to donate money towards. The money raised from the Read-a-thon was used to fund mini-grant requests from Mabel Hoggard Elementary School teachers and staff.
HOLIDAY EVENTS: The PTSA sponsored a holiday luncheon for the teachers and Cookies with Santa for the families of Mabel Hoggard Elementary School. Both of these events were very successful!
REFLECTIONS: This year many Mabel Hoggard Elementary School students participated in the National PTA's Reflections program. This program encourages students in pre-K through grade 12 to explore and be involved in the arts. We hope to have even more participants in the next school year!
The theme for the 2014-2015 school year is The world would be a better place if... Thousands of students will reflect on the theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, music composition, literature, photography and visual arts.

Reading Week: PTSA organized a Reading Week Kick-Off with the UNLV Soccer Players. The UNLV Soccer players came to the school and read to students of Mabel Hoggard in their classrooms. In addition, the PTSA sent home a bookmark gift and a list of age appropriate books for parents.
Spring Fling: This was the PTSA's big give back. Students and their families enjoyed games, food and had lots of fun! Teachers and staff sponsored games and the money raised at their games was given back to them to use in their classrooms!
AND MUCH MORE!!!!!
